Our Story

Alison Meyer Hong

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Alison found inspiration while engaged in various volunteer opportunities around Boston. Her experiences underscored the significance of forging connections with peers and the transformative potential inherent in community service.

Recognizing that the midlife years can be a particularly intricate and multifaceted period for women, marked by numerous transitions, Alison conceived The Doing Circle. This innovative initiative aims to create a supportive and empowering community for women at this life stage with a dual commitment to enhancing their individual lives while making a positive contribution to the larger community.

What started as an idea has grown into a thriving 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving women across 20+ cities and towns in the Greater Boston area.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my friends and family who played a pivotal role in bringing The Doing Circle to life. Your unwavering support, guidance and encouragement have enabled me to turn my vision into a reality. I am truly grateful for the time, effort and expertise you have shared with me.
