Gaining Ground, a nonprofit organic farm in Concord, Massachusetts, grows vegetables and fruit with the help of several thousand community volunteers and donates all of this fresh food to area meal programs and food pantries.
Join members of THE DOING CIRCLE alongside the farmers at Gaining Ground for a hands on morning of farming! No experience or farming knowledge needed - we will be trained that day. Be prepared to get your hands and clothes dirty - but for a great cause!

The mission of the Prison Book Program is to support people in prison by sending them free books and print resources that meet their specific needs and interests. Prisoners write into the program with specific requests and PBP volunteers do their best to fulfill them. Volunteering usually includes a “job” such as picking books, invoicing, packing and/or quality control. This is an extremely rewarding volunteer activity - don't miss out!

The church is the giant stone building with the gold dome. Go to the back of the building – the opposite end from the steeple.
The stairs go down to the basement and are on the sidewalk next to the street and traffic light.

Explore: TDC Walk
Join Laura Holt, TDC member and walking club lead, for a monthly walk around Greater Boston. Each month we'll meet somewhere new, on a different day of the week, so more members have a chance to join.
Our first walk is in Brighton, along Soldiers Field Road. We'll walk about 3 miles (roughly an hour) along the Charles River into Cambridge and back.

Kick off the fall season with us at our new home base - the Trio space at the New Art Center - for an evening of flower arranging, conversation, and connection. This is our first evening event of the season, and the perfect way to reconnect with TDC friends and meet new ones.
We'll be creating floral bouquets for Theo's Flowers, a nonprofit that donates arrangements to memory care and elder care facilities across the area. Every bouquet we make will bring some color and warmth to a resident's day.
